Top Study Tips

01
Pomodoro Technique
Study for 25 minutes, then rest for 5. After four rounds take a long break. Keeps your mind sharp and prevents burnout.
02
Active Recall
After reading a unit, close your notes and write down everything you remember. Retrieval practice is far more effective than re-reading.
03
Past Papers First
Attempt past papers early to understand the exam format. Identify your weak areas and redirect your study time there.
04
Mind Maps
Draw visual maps connecting key concepts. Especially effective for Engineering Technology and Science units with many interconnected ideas.
05
Teach Someone
Explain a concept aloud to a friend or even to yourself. The Feynman Technique reveals gaps in your understanding instantly.
06
Sleep & Review
Review your notes just before sleep. Your brain consolidates memories during sleep — take advantage of this biological superpower.
